London, United Kingdom: High-end publishing house GT Media ME Ltd. has launched the ATM Yearbook 2021 at leading Middle East travel industry event, Arabian Travel Market, yesterday, May 16.

Marking the eighth ATM Yearbook, the respected UK-based publisher of business intelligence annuals, has created in partnership with ATM organiser, Reed Exhibitions, the high-end publication documents the achievements of the region’s travel and tourism industry during its most challenging period in modern history.

Entitled ‘A new dawn for travel and tourism’, Arabian Travel Market’s official show theme, the ATM Yearbook 2021 profiles the figureheads and entities that have successfully navigated the pandemic and continue to drive the fast-paced development of the sector in the face of adversity.

Now in its 28th year, ATM 2021 is the largest in-person travel and tourism event staged since the onset of the pandemic and will throw the spotlight on the current state of the industry and what the future holds.

The ATM Yearbook 2021, also available in digital format featuring multi-media content and high-profile video interviews, will encapsulate all this and more as the only publication that provides an in-depth review of the sector.

Highlights of the 2021 publication, which is distributed to key industry decisionmakers across the region and worldwide, include major tourism-related infrastructure projects putting the Middle East on the map as a global travel and tourism hub, as well as a new section on Responsible Tourism, a global movement accelerated by the pandemic.

Interviews with influential leaders in the tourism, aviation, hospitality and development sectors also take centre stage, with a focus on identities shaping the future of travel.

“The ATM Yearbook 2021 recognises the remarkable achievements of the Middle East region’s travel and tourism sector over the past 18 months, a period of unparalleled disruption and uncertainty,” said Khaled Algaay, Publisher, GT Media ME Ltd.

“It celebrates the achievements of the industry’s pioneers, innovators and capable leaders who have continued to set global industry benchmarks despite the pandemic and are building back even better,” he also said.

He added, “The yearbook also carries the title ‘A new dawn for travel and tourism’, emphasising the pivotal role this year’s Arabian Travel Market will play in accelerating industry recovery through business facilitation and knowledge exchange”.

The ATM Yearbook series was launched in 2013 when Arabian Travel Market celebrated its 20th anniversary. Today it is distributed to more than 40,000 industry professionals and decision makers around the world.

It is one of several bespoke publications produced by GT Media ME Ltd. on behalf of the most powerful and influential stakeholders in key regional growth markets including the Middle East, Europe and North Africa.

Arabian Travel Market is being run as a hybrid event for the first time in 2021. It takes place live at Dubai World Trade Centre this week (16-19 May) and online next week (24-26 May) following the success of the inaugural ATM Virtual event last year.
