Sri Lanka Squash will be hosting another PSA Satellite Open series in Sri Lanka with two legs scheduled to be held on 19th to 20th and 26th to 27th May 2023 respectively. The series will be worked off at Sinhalese Sports Club Squash Complex (SSC) and so far the tournament has attracted entries from Malaysia and Hong Kong apart from the heavy weights from Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka Squash initiated providing membership of the Professional Squash Association (PSA) to eligible national players and hosting local satellite tournaments in 2021 for the players to earn the required qualifying ranking points. The program has gone a long way with 5 Sri Lankan players breaking into top 300 in world while bringing home PSA International and Satellite titles and even reaching career best World ranking of 137 within a short span of 2 years.
This time Sri Lanka Squash has moved a further step in organizing PSA Open Satellite events with the participation of International players in Sri Lanka helping local players obtain much needed International exposure in home conditions.
SLS Open PSA Satellite Squash Championship series will also provide a spectacular opportunity for the local spectators to see local champions battling out with top international players for victory.
