The newly appointed Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera made a call on the Defence Secretary General Kamal Gunaratne at the Defence Ministry, Defence Headquarters Complex in Sri Jayewardenepura, Kotte today (19 Dec).
Following a warm reception, the Defence Secretary extended compliments to Vice Admiral Perera for his new appointment during a cordial discussion held between the two high officials.
Signifying the occasion, the Defence Secretary and the Navy Commander exchanged mementoes.
Vice Admiral Perera was appointed as the 25th Navy Commander by Hon. President Ranil Wickremesinghe on Sunday (18 Dec).
