Old Kingswoodians duo steers Colombo Masters to a comfortable win
Suwanji Madanayake,  a player in his mid fifties was the first player to score the fastest fifty in 25 balls in the Masters Cricket matches and Rohan Raj Perera,  a player in his mid sixties playing an elegant innings,  stroking a fluent 51 not out in 38 balls,  the duo’s all round performance also capturing 3 scalps apart steered Colombo Masters to a 110 runs win against Royal Masters in their Masters  35  overs Cricket encounter played at Bandaragama recently.
Colombo Masters batting first,  their batters Suwanji Madanayake , Rohan Raj Perera and also Shafeek Rahim playing an anchor role scoring a magnificent 72 not out along with useful contributions coming from Tilan Wijesinghe and Suranjith Dharmasena took them past the 250 runs plus mark . Gihan Shiromal was the bowler to shine claiming 2 scalps.
Royal Masters chasing this total,  Shezard Nizar and Dharsha Abeywardena were the only 2 batters who could get into double figures scoring 35 runs and 24 runs respectively and were bundled out for less than 150 runs with Suwanji Madanayake,  Rohan Raj Perera and also Thusitha Illangamage sharing the bowling honors by capturing 3 wickets each.
