Establishing A Human Resource Development Center for the Department of Social Services

A new Human Resource Development Center for the Department of Social Services with the objective of developing the knowledge, skills and attitudes of the officers of the Department of Social Services which are made up of about 800 professionals working at all over the country and training the volunteer teachers in the Child Guidance Centers Island wide was inaugurated by Dr.Sudarshini Fernandopulle, State Minister of Primary Health Care, Epidemics & Covid Disease Control at Amunukumbura, Gampaha.

The center can accommodate up to 30 trainees at a time, helping to obtain an efficient service from the officers of the Department of Social Services. The establishment of this center will be an important milestone for the Department of Social Services.

With a history of 73 years, the Department of Social Services is one of the leading government institutions in the country, working for the welfare of marginalized and disadvantaged communities, protecting their rights and equality. There is a large community of people who have served and are receiving here.
