Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, His Excellency Maj. Gen. (Retd.) Muhammad Saad Khattak paid a courtesy call on the Defence Secretary Gen. Kamal Gunaratne (Retd) last Monday (June 22) making his first visit to the New Defence Ministry at the Defence Headquarters Complex, Sri Jayawardenepura, Kotte.
Following a warm reception, the Sri Lankan Defence Secretary held discussions with the High Commissioner Khattak on matters of bilateral importance and mutual relevance.
The Defence Ministry’s Military Liaison Officer Brig. Dinesh Nanayakkara and Pakistan’s Defence Advisor in Colombo Col. Muhammad Safdar were also present at the bilateral discussion.
Following the discussion, gifts were also exchanged to mark the occasion.
The event was held in keeping with the healthcare procedures to contain the spread of COVID-19.
