Tourists visiting Sri Lanka from overseas will be able to travel under the ‘Bio Bubble’ system, according to health guidelines, Director General of Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA), Dhammika Wijesinghe said.
She said the Director General of Health and the IGP have been informed about this.
“Hence, the tourists who are already here, can now travel among provinces adhering to stringent health guidelines and under Bio Bubble method,” she said.
The Director General also said that institutions and individuals who have taken steps to bring in tourists are strongly advised to follow the health guidelines when taking tourists around.
She said tough action will be taken against those who violate those guidelines.
“A system has been set up for foreign tourists visiting the island to travel to specific destinations without any hindrances under Bio Bubble,” she also said.
