A program from Parliament for the students of the Sri Lanka Law College

A program on the “Overview of the Legislative Process of Parliament” organized by the Department of Communications of Parliament was conducted recently (15), for the students of the Sri Lanka Law College, in Parliament.

The said program was organized in order to raise awareness on the business and process of Parliament among the students of the Law College.

Mr. Tikiri K. Jayathilake, Assistant Secretary-General of Parliament, Mr. H.E. Janakantha Silva, Director Legislative Services and Director Communications (Acting) and Mr. M. Jayalath Perera, Assistant Director held an open discussion which provided the students with the opportunity to question and learn about the Parliament and its process.

The open discussion also covered a wide array of areas such as Parliamentary affairs, Standing Orders, Law making process. Thereafter, a tour around the Parliament was also organized for the students of the Sri Lanka Law College.
