The Debate on the Regulation of Election Expenditure Bill postponed by one months’ time

The Ministerial Consultative Committee on Justice, Prisons Affairs and Constitutional Reforms  decided to postpone the second reading debate of the Regulation of Election Expenditure Bill by one months’ time on request made by Hon. Members of Parliament present.

The decision was made when the Ministerial Consultative Committee met in Parliament today (17) under the chairmanship of the Minister Hon. (Dr.) Wijayadasa Rajapakshe post taking into consideration the requests made by the Members present.

the debate on the second reading of the Bureau of Rehabilitation Bill was approved at the committee following the consideration of the relevant amendments made to the said Bill. Accordingly, the Bureau of Rehabilitation Bill will be taken up for debate tomorrow (18) to be passed in Parliament.
