Indian Navy Chief meets Sri Lankan Defence State Minister

Indian Navy Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral R. Hari Kumar  who is currently in Sri Lanka on an official visit called on the State Minister of Defence Hon. Premitha Bandara Tennakoon at the office of the State Ministry of Defence situated in Colombo today (Dec 14).

The State Minister warmly received the Indian Navy Chief and the delegation on his arrival and had a cordial interaction with the visiting high official anticipating further promotion of existing bilateral relations between the two countries.

During the meeting, Minister Tennakoon and Admiral Kumar discussed several matters of defence cooperation and mutual concern to both Sri Lanka and India.

To mark the significant occasion, the State Minister presented a memento to Indian Navy Chief and the goodwill gesture was reciprocated.

Assistant Military Liaison Officer of the Ministry of Defence, Sri Lanka Col. Thusitha Bandara and Senior Assistant Secretary (Defence) Harsha Vithanarachchi were also present at the occasion.
