The Sri Lanka Canada Business Council of Ceylon Chamber of Commerce joined hands with the Rotary Club of Colombo Metropolitan to sponsor children for heart surgery. With more than 3,000 children born with Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) in Sri Lanka each year, the donation of funds will be of direct benefit to children on Lady Ridgeway Hospital’s waiting list, giving them a life-altering chance to undergo surgery which could help them lead a normal and healthy adult life.
For this generous cause, SLCBC members contributed individually total amounting to 500,000 LKR. PRIMA CEYLON PVT LTD – 150,000 LKR, CEYLINE SHIPPING LTD – 100,000 LKR, Thames International Educational Consultancy Pvt Ltd – 50,000 LKR, MCLARENS GROUP MANAGEMENT LTD – 50,000 LKR, INFOMATE PRIVATE LTD – 50,000 LKR, SPILLBURG HOLDINGS PVT LTD – 25,000 LKR, LIDECSHI GROUP OF COMPANIES – 25,000 LKR and from SLCBC – 50,000 LKR.
