Hon. Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana, Speaker of Parliament endorsed the certificate on the Appropriation (Amendment) Bill to amend the Appropriation Act No. 30 of 2021 today (09).
Thus, this Bill will into force as the Appropriation (Amendment) Act No. 21 of 2022 with effect from today.
The Third Reading of the Appropriation (Amendment) Bill to amend the Appropriation Act No. 30 of 2021 was passed in Parliament on the 2nd without a vote and the Second Reading of the Bill was passed by a majority of 115 votes in Parliament.
