Former Finance Minister and the Founder of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna Basil Rajapaksa submitted his letter of resignation to step down from Parliament a while ago. In addition, he will also stepped down from the National List of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna and will make way for another suitable person to take the parliamentary seat.
In a media conference held to this effect this morning Former minister Said ” I will be out of holding any public office from this point onwards. However will remain in politics”.
