SL Air Force renovates school playground

Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) has renovating the playground of Kebithigollewa Central College as a part of the Kanugahawewa model village project. According to SLAF media, the renovated playground was vested for the use of the students recently (Apr 5).

The playground has been in need of renovation and the Air Force’s social service initiative has fulfilled a long felt need of the school. A proper drainage system and landscaping work were also done under the renovation project, it says.

The project was carried out under the guidance of Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana.

The Kebithigollawa Central College is a prominent school in the area which a student population of 2000 students. The handing over ceremony was held with the participation of Air Force officers, Urban Development Authority and Educational Department representatives, it adds.
