Sri Lanka to extend tourist visas of Ukrainians and Russians

Due to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the Cabinet of Ministers has approved the proposal made by the Minister of Tourism to extend the visa period of Russian and Ukrainian tourists for a period of two-months free of charge, has been approved by the Sri Lankan cabinet of ministers, as a result of the conflict between Russia and Ukrain which has made it difficult such tourist to return to their home countries.
 Sources have state that currently there are 11463 Russian tourists and 3993 Ukrainian tourists in the island.
