Parliament to launch the Second Volume of ‘Parliamenthu Sara Sanhitha’ on the 8th

The launching of the Second Volume of ‘Parliamenthu Sara Sanhitha’ will take place on February 8th at 11.00 a.m. in Committee Room No. 1 of the Parliamentary Complex. The event will be held under the patronage of the Hon. Mahinda Rajapaksa, Prime Minister and the Hon. Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, the Speaker of Parliament.

Articles were called for the Second Volume of ‘Parliamenthu Sara Sanhitha’ academic journal last year under numerous disciplines following the guidance of Mr. Dhammika Dasanayake, the Secretary General of the Parliament of Sri Lanka,

The journal is comprised of articles by a number of scholars representing the academic field. The scholarly writings cover a wide range of topics such as; the Legislative Process, Sustainable Development, Electoral System and its Amendments, Parliamentary Reporting and the Media, Public Outreach and Trends in Sri Lankan Women’s Politics. The Review Board consists of Senior Professor Ratnasiri Arangala, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Professor Ajantha Hapuarachchi, University of Colombo, Professor S. J. Yogarajah of the University of Kelaniya, Dr. Tudor Weerasinghe, Sri Palee Campus University of Colombo and Senior Lecturer Wijayananda Rupasinghe, University of Kelaniya.

The Second Volume of ‘Parliamenthu Sara Sanhitha’ academic journal is to be distributed to libraries and interested parties in the future as a publication of the Department of Communication of the Parliament of Sri Lanka. Furthermore, this journal can be obtained by contacting the Department of Communication of Parliament.
