Sri-Lanka Masters National Hockey Association Open Selections for World Cup 2022 in Nottingham, England.
We, Sri-Lanka Masters National Hockey Association is the officially appointed body in Sri-Lanka which happens to be the Founding Member affiliated with the World Masters Hockey ( WMH ) . International Hockey Federation ( FIH ) has given exclusive authority for World Masters Hockey (WMH) to organise and take absolute control with Masters Hockey events globally..
Last edition of the Masters Hockey World cup was held in Barcelona, Spain ( 2018 ) and Sri-Lanka Masters Men’s and Women’s teams took part and performed admirably.
Next edition of the Masters World cup for age groups 35 plus and 40 plus will be played in England from August 10 to 22. ( Initially scheduled to be held in 2020 and postponed due to global pandemic).
Sri-Lanka Masters Hockey Association will participate in the upcoming World Cup.
We invite former national players, past Hockey players, and current club players for the upcoming World Cup trials to select the participating teams. Selections will be conducted at the Astro Turf, Reid Avenue, Colombo 07 on the dates mentioned below.
Eligibility criteria
Age 35 plus ( Born on or before 31 December 1987 ).
Age 40 plus ( Born on or before 31 December 1982 ).
Dates
Women’s trials will be held on 28 January
( Friday ), 2022 , 1.30 p.m. onwards.
Men’s trials will be held on 06 February
( Sunday), 2022 , 3 p.m. onwards .
