As per the Department of Meteorology, showers will occur at times in western , Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-Western and Northern provinces and in Galle and Matara districts. A few showers are likely in Anuradhapura district.
Showers or Thunder showers will occur at several places elsewhere particularly during the afternoon or night.
Fairly heavy rains above 75 mm can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North -western provinces and Galle and Matara Districts.
General public is advice to take adequate preclusions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and Lightning during thundershowers.
