The New Generation Awards 2021 was held last evening, October 29, at the Grand Ballroom, Galadari Hotel, organised by Women in Management, Sri Lanka. Wijeya Newspapers Limited (WNL) won ‘The Youth Focus Corporate Award of the Year’ received by Rishini Weeraratne, Head of Social Media, Editor – HI!! Online, The Weekend Online and Wnow.
Hirushi Jayasena, Associate Editor, HI!! Online, and popular Talk Show Host – In Conversation with Hirushi Jayasena on Daily Mirror Online and Lankadeepa Online, won the award for ‘The Positive Social Media Influencer of the Year,’ and Ninuri Asalya De Silva, Social Media Executive, Event Host – HI!! Online and the Author of popular Column, Pet Talks on Daily Mirror won the award for ‘Young Activist of the Year.’ Zara Esufally and Humaira Azeem received the award for ‘Blogger of the Year,’ for their popular social media blog – Food For Thought.
