In a media statement, the National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka announced the launch of the Application coinciding with the upcoming Annual Export Awards which will be held in December this year.
This comprehensive application and guidelines that are key documents to be eligible for awards will be officially launched during a virtual ceremony conducted by NCE at 3.30 p.m. on July 27, 2021.
All exporters of Sri Lanka are invited to attend this event which will also be covered by Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Ltd., the official print media partner of the flagship event of the NCE.
The Annual Export Awards conducted by the Chamber has gained national significance over the years as the most looked forward to the event in the Business Calendar of Sri Lanka.
This event has been conducted for 28 consecutive years and recognizes and rewards the achievements of Sri Lankan Exporters of products and services and as well as service providers to exporters in the international marketplace.
The NCE believes that conducting this prestigious event, even during this calamitous situation and amongst numerous challenges, is essential in motivating the export enterprises and its employees for the resilience displayed and sustaining the businesses amongst many obstacles.
This Application for Awards covers many vital areas including the export performance by the applicant organizations and also ensuring that such entities comply with the international standards of Ethical Trading, Corporate Social Responsibility and many other criteria to be eligible to win awards under many categories.
Applications received are evaluated by an eminent panel of judges facilitated by the international audit firm Ernest & Young in maintaining the integrity and transparency of the selection process.
