Multiple vehicle collisions were reported along the Southern Expressway on Wednesday, April 14, between Gelanigama and Dodangoda.
The Road Development Authority said heavy traffic is experienced at the Matara Exit on the Southern Expressway, as a result of the accidents.
The RDA urged motorists to exercise caution when using the Southern Expressway.
Police Spokesperson, DIG Ajith Rohana said 8 vehicles were involved in the collision and one person sustained injuries.
