Nishantha Ranathunga to clarify his stance as a nominee for SLC Board Post

Former Sri Lanka Cricket Board Secretory Nishantha Ranathunge, together with his team of personnel who have submitted nominations to contest the SLC Elections are scheduled to hold a press conference tomorrow in Colombo. Sources have revealed that they will air their stance about the present status and their strategy in terms of their way forward, if elected through the elections that will be held on 20th May 2021. Rantunga along with K Mathivanam and Sri Lankas’ first Test Cricket Captain, Bandula Warnapura have field their Nominations to contest the SLC Elections and if elected, will hold office for the next two years.

Whilst Ranatunga will contest for the post of Secretary with Mohan de Silva who holds the post presently, former SLC Vice President Mathivanan will contest  for the post of President, which he is set to contest alongside current SLC President Shammi Silva.

Meanwhile, Bandula Warnapura who has also come forward for the first time, will contest the post of Vice President. .
