The refurbished Prime Minister’s Public Relations Unit in the R. A. De Mel Mawatha, Kollupitiya was opened by Prime Minister, Mahinda Rajapaksa on Monday, January 4.
The Unit is now open to the public from Monday to Friday.
The Public Relations Unit will give solutions to public complaints and receive their proposals through an efficient service.
Over 12,000 issues, proposals and complaints, which were directed to the Prime Minister, were addressed by the Unit over the past years.
Secretary to the Prime Minister, Gamini Senarath; Chief of Staff, Rohitha Rajapaksa; Additional Secretaries – Chaminda Kularatne and Harsha Wijewardena; Additional Secretary in Charge of the Public Relations Unit – Nishantha Weerasinghe were also present at the opening ceremony.
