However, Batters Bhanuka Rajapaksa and allrounder Dhananjaya de Silva have been named in Sri Lanka’s preliminary squad for next month’s tour of Pakistan, as selectors look to strengthen the team’s batting depth and look to de Silva s ability to curtail batters with his crafty bowling, leading up to the World Cup. .
It has been made to understand that a squad of about 22 have been selected and that It is from this squad that the selectors would pick players for selection and both Rajapaksa and de Silva has been training throughout at the High-Performance Centre and are in good frame.
