Officials of the Retired Air Force Officers Association (RAFOA) paid a courtesy call on Secretary of Defense Air Vice Marshal Sampath Thuyacontha (Retd) at the Defence Headquarters Complex in Sri Jayewardenepura, Kotte, on October 2nd.

During the visit, the Defence Secretary warmly welcomed the delegation and engaged in a cordial discussion with RAFOA’s Honorary President, Group Captain Kumar Kirinde (Retd), Honorary Vice President Wing Commander Nalin Jayetileke (Retd), and Honorary Secretary Air Commodore Ayub Jabir (Retd). He expressed his appreciation for the significant work the Association has undertaken in alignment with its constitution.

Air Vice Marshal Thuyacontha highlighted the vital role such associations play in promoting the wellbeing and connectivity of the retired service community. In response, the honorary office bearers of RAFOA congratulated the Secretary on his appointment, especially due to the significance of being a retired Ex SLAF Officer, and conveyed the warm wishes of all RAFOA members, wishing him success in his future endeavors.
