A-PAD in Partnership with UNDP & CBi Continue to Promote Disaster Resilient Tourism among MSMEs

A-PAD in partnership with UNDP Sri Lanka and Connecting Business initiative (CBi) provided a training program in the Northern Province for MSMEs engaged in handcrafts on 21st March at Yal Beach Hotel, Point Pedro. This training was in line with previous trainings carried out in the south, in an attempt to expand the knowledge to different tourism regions. Representatives from the Palmyra Development Board, National Crafts Council – Jaffna, J1349 Karanavai West GN Division and A-PAD Sri Lanka including Country Director Mr. Firzan Hashim was in attendance.
The training was based on disaster risk reduction , business continuity and market opportunities, encouraging robust interaction among the MSMEs. Following the workshop, the participants also displayed an array of locally sourced handcrafts to the officials present at the event.
