Signed by the ministerial secretary, J.J. Rathnasiri, a circular was issued and published by the Ministry of Public Services and Provincial Councils and Local Government with a view of eliminating the anomalies in the salaries of teachers and principals.
Further, revisions are said to have been being made to the salary scales in the Teachers, Principal and the Teacher Educator Service in accordance with the decisions taken by the Cabinet of Ministers.
As such the salary revisions are effective 01st of January 2022.
The circular has been issued with the approval of the National Salaries and Remuneration Commission and the Ministry of Finance.
