A stock of another one million doses of China’s Sinopharm vaccine against COVID-19 was brought to Sri Lanka on last Sunday, ( July 4).
SriLankan Airlines flight UL869 brought the consignment of vaccines from Beijing, China to Sri Lanka early yesterday morning.
This is the fourth batch of Sinopharm vaccine Sri Lanka purchased from China.
With yesterday’s shipment, Sri Lanka has received a total of 5.1 million doses of the Chinese made Sinopharm vaccine so far since the delivery of 600,000 doses on March 31.
Meanwhile, State Minister Prof. Channa Jayasumana stated that the 26,000 doses Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine will be delivered to Sri Lanka today.
