Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena received Supreme Court’s determination on the Colombo Port City Economic Commission draft Bill yesterday, May 6.
The decision of the Supreme Court will be presented to Parliament on May 18 by Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, the Speaker’s media unit said.
The decision regarding the debate on the Colombo Port City Economic Commission Draft Bill will be taken at the forthcoming Committee on Parliamentary Business meeting.
The Committee on Parliamentary Business, chaired by Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena held on May 4, decided not to hold the debate on the Colombo Port City Economic Commission Bill as scheduled on May 5 as Parliament had not received the determination of the Supreme Court.
