The delegation from the Independent Commission Against Corruption, Hong Kong (ICAC), held discussions with Mr. Chaminda Kularatne, Chief of Staff and Deputy Secretary-General of the Parliament.
The meeting, which took place yesterday (18) at Parliament, was also attended by Mr. Hansa Abeyrathne, Assistant Secretary-General of Parliament, Mr. Dinesh Witharana, Chief Internal Auditor of Parliament, and a group of representatives from the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).
The delegation visited Parliament at the request of the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption, and noted that this was their first visit. During the occasion, a cordial discussion was held between the representatives of the Independent Commission Against Corruption, Hong Kong (ICAC) and the Deputy Secretary-General of Parliament on the composition of the Commission, the appointment of its officials, and the manner in which its activities are carried out. The discussions also extended to the Anti-Corruption Act of Sri Lanka.
Following the discussion, the delegation undertook an observation tour of the Parliament.
