With the England Vs Sri Lanka test series wrapped up with an unassailable 2-0 lead for England , they have called up the 6Ft 7in youngster Josh Hull in to the side for the third and final Test at the Oval on Friday. Leicestershire quick only turned 20 last month but replaces Matthew Potts for the Oval test and this becomes England’s only change from the side that won by 190 runs at the last test played at Lords to secure an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series. Stand-in Captain Olli pope said “the bowlers ceiling is so high, and when you’re 6ft 7in and you can get it down pushing up to the 85-90mph mark, and with a bit of swing with the left-arm angle, there’s a lot to like about it, It’s going to be really an exciting week for him. “

Hull has taken 11 wickets at 84.54 in his nine County Championship matches he has played for Leicestershire, but as we see it the main reason has been due to the fact that he was able to impress the selectors and the management of England with his match figures of 5 for 74 on his England Lions Debut match against Sri Lanka taking 3 wickets in the 1st innings and 2 in the 2nd.

The 6ft 7in left-arm seamer has also been  selected to play in England s white ball squad to face Australia later this month.
