Hon. Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana, Speaker of Parliament announced to the House today (01) that he has appointed the following Members of Parliament under the Chair of the Hon. Tiran Alles to serve on the Select Committee of Parliament to look into and identify the mechanisms to be implemented in order to immediately control and eradicate the rapidly spreading drug menace in the country and to submit observations and recommendations to Parliament in that regard.
Accordingly, Hon. Sisira Jayakody, Hon. (Dr.) (Ms.) Seetha Arambepola, Hon. Buddhika Pathirana, Hon. (Dr.) Gayashan Nawananda, Hon. Thushara Indunil Amarasena, Hon. (Dr.) Upul Galappaththi, Hon. (Major) Sudarshana Denipitiya, Hon. Asanka Navarathna, Hon. Upul Mahendra Rajapaksha, Hon. Thavaraja Kalai Arasan, Hon. (Ms.) Manjula Dissanayakewere appointed as members.
