The Sri Lanka – Canada Business Council (SLCBC) of The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce hosted an interactive evening with His Excellency Eric Walsh, High Commissioner of Canada to Sri Lanka and Maldives.
Organized in collaboration with the High Commission of Canada to Sri Lanka and Maldives, the event was attended by senior officials of the Government of Sri Lanka, members of the diplomatic corps, and high-profile business leaders amongst others, offering attendees the opportunity to network and discuss opportunities for bilateral collaboration with High Commissioner Walsh. It was an opportunity to highlight the importance of continued collaboration between Canada and Sri Lanka on various fronts such as trade, investment, tourism, and environmental sustainability.
The evening featured a range of interactive activities designed to foster dialogue and learning. Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions from the High Commissioner, participate in group discussions, and engage in activities that offered a glimpse into Canada-Sri Lanka bilateral relations. The event also provided ample opportunities for networking and socializing.
The High Commission of Canada to Sri Lanka and Maldives remains committed to promoting bilateral relations, cultural exchanges, and people-to-people ties between Sri Lanka and Canada.
