Indian Navy Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral R. Hari Kumar, now in Sri Lanka on an official visit paid a courtesy call on the Sri Lankan Defence Secretary General Kamal Gunaratne at the Defence Ministry in Sri Jayewardenepura, Kotte today (Dec 13).
The visiting Navy Chief on arrival at the Defence Ministry was warmly received by the Defence Secretary.
During the meeting held, the visiting Navy Chief and the Defence Secretary exchanged views on military diplomacy between Sri Lanka and India.
Following the meeting, the Navy Chief and the Defence Secretary exchanged mementos and afterwards, the visiting Navy Chief left his signature on the Visitors’ Book in signifying the CNS’s visit to the Ministry of Defence.
Military Liaison Officer of the Ministry of Defence in Sri Lanka Maj. Gen. Dinesh Nanayakkara was also present at the occasion.
