The most anticipated economic event of the year, the Sri Lanka Economic Summit 2022 will commence under the theme ‘Resetting from Turmoil to Opportunity’ on December 5th at the Shangri-La Hotel, Colombo.
The Summit will be inaugurated by the Chief Guest President Ranil Wickremesinghe on December 5th. The Guest of Honour will be Mr. Martin Raiser, the World Bank’s Regional Vice-President for the South Asia Region, who will participate in a Fireside Chat where he will discuss key levers that will lead to macroeconomic stability that can play a fundamental role in Sri Lanka’s journey toward economic recovery.
The Keynote Speaker at the Summit will be Mr. Parameswaran Iyer, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog, which serves as the apex public policy think tank of the Government of India. Mr. Iyer has and continues to play a significant role in catalyzing India’s economic development, spearheading the nationwide Swachh Bharat (Clean India) Mission, in addition to serving as the Global Lead for Strategic Initiatives in the World Bank’s Water Global Practice.
The Summit will feature over 30 local and international speakers in the arenas of monetary and fiscal policy, economic reforms, technology, investment, and private sector-led growth, who will cover key reform priorities.
