Colombo 22 August 2022- KOICA the grant aid division of the Embassy of the republic of Korea together with Alumni Association of KOICA Fellows in Sri Lanka (AKOFE) held a donation ceremony at Pagngnagula Maha Vidyalaya & Puwakpitiya Roman Catholic Primary School in Seethawaka Avissaewlla on 20th August 2022.
AKOFE is an association that consists of alumni who have completed KOICA fellowship programmes in Korea to build capacity in their areas. To fulfill the KOICA’s vision “Leave no one behind”, AKOFE donated photo copy machines, office cupboards, musical instruments and a computer to the selected two schools. These equipment will be utilized to make a better educational environment in both schools in Seethawaka, Avissawella.
The event was graced with the presence of AKOFE Executive Committee members and School members. Both school principals highly appreciated this donation expressing their gratitude to the KOICA and AKOFE for organizing this donations amid the crisis situation in Sri Lanka. Further, KOICA believes that this donations will be helpful to the students to study in a better educational environment and dream their future with new hopes.
