Sri-Lanka Masters Hockey host Sri-Lanka Hockey team for dinner.
Sri-Lanka Masters National Hockey Association with the blessings of Sri-Lanka Lanka Hockey Federation, took great pride to host the young 2022 Sri-Lanka Men’s Hockey team for dinner at the Hilton Colombo on the 01 March on their tour of AFC Championship to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia, where they are expected to leave on the 06 March.
The ever enthusiastic President who wishes to elevate the sport thinking out of the box, Mr. Kamal Pushpakumara was pleased to accept the invitation along with his executive committee understanding the value of the Masters arm.
President of Sri-Lanka Hockey Federation Mr. Kamal Pushpakumara, President of the Masters National Hockey Association Mr. Fouzul Hameed , Managing Director of Hameedia , our very own Hockey legend Mr. Dhammika Wijesundera ( National player from 1979 to 1989 ) retired Director Marketing Singer Sri-Lanka, legend in every way and Council member of the Sri-Lanka sports council, Mr. Kumar Sangakkara , the Cricket legend, Mr. Otto Preena , Vice President of Sri-Lanka Masters National Hockey Association, a Hockey legend turned out to be an outstanding Coach, who have produced many talented players were the graceful giants that held the pillars of the platform to honor the young lads.
Secretary to the ladies arm Mrs. Ruwaiza Sela along with the Masters ladies representatives graced the occasion to light up and hold hands to strengthen the purpose. Men and Women have one thing in common at this juncture and it is the sport that’s loved.
When soldiers are loved unconditionally before they are released to the battlefield, it is the love that keeps them alive to fight their motherland. The National Hockey Men’s team was reminded at Dinner that the love amidst the differences is important and Masters Men and Women have been through the mill and to give the very best to bring home the glory we all wish desperately for.
