Leading integrated financial services provider HNB FINANCE recently donated road signboards to the Mirihana Police Station, marking the second phase of its initiative to help encourage proper road use among the public.
Representing HNB FINANCE, Managing Director/CEO, Chaminda Prabhath, Marketing Head Udara Gunasinghe and Senior Manager – Marketing Thilina Dissanayake officially donated the signs to Mirihana Chief Inspector of Police, Indika Thushara and Traffic O.I.C. Chaminda Gajanayake.
“Road discipline is extremely important to keep the lives of passengers and pedestrians safe, and to maintain such, traffic police must be equipped with the essential accessories to assist in navigating Sri Lanka’s crowded roads with functionality and ease,” commented HNB FINANCE Marketing Head, Udara Gunasinghe.
“We believe that through our programme of donating these invaluable aides to our local police, we will be able to support the general public with awareness on road safety and discipline,” he added.
Having commenced this initiative last year, the donation is one of the company’s key community projects to promote discipline and safety on Sri Lankan roads, under its sustainability and CSR strategy.
