A meeting between the Minister of Transport, Pavithra Wanniarachchi and the Chief Political/Economic Officer of the United States Embassy in Sri Lanka, Susan Walke was held at the Ministry of Transport on October 7.
During the meeting, Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi spoke on improving the quality of the transport sector in Sri Lanka and the use of new technology for this purpose.
Chief Political/Economic Officer, Ms. Walke, told the Minister that the US Government would extend its fullest support to develop Sri Lanka’s transport industry.
Lewis G. Salas, Commercial Officer, US Embassy in Sri Lanka and Kanchana Jayaratne, Private Secretary to the Minister also participated in the discussion.
