WindForce PLC has won the award for the Fastest Growing Renewable Energy Company in Sri Lanka at the Global Business Outlook (GBO) Awards for 2021.
Held annually, the GBO Awards evaluate companies across an array of industries, and have been doing so since 2015.
Known as the pioneers of renewable energy in the country, WindForce PLC has been in the sector since its inception in 2010 and has established 27 plants across Sri Lanka, Ukraine, Pakistan and Uganda within a decade. Furthermore, the company currently has 3 upcoming projects in Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
Having attained the highest recorded IPO at the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) since 2011, WindForce PLC additionally began trading on the Main Board of the CSE in April of 2021, and was oversubscribed by nearly 8 times on its initial day of trading.
The company’s growth can be credited to its notable performance at the CSE, as well as its commended team of highly qualified engineers.
WindForce PLC has been the hub for new technology and innovation in the local renewable energy sector, and has set the bar for Sri Lanka, as the country begins to move towards its aim of attaining a renewable energy capacity of 70% by 2030.
