The Chamber Academy, the knowledge arm of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, has joined hands with Hutchison Telecommunications Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. and London Stock Exchange Group – Sri Lanka to host a timely webinar on the recent revisions of foreign exchange regulations.
The virtual discussion will aim to brief the private sector on the new accounts for forex borrowings and repatriating emigrant incomes as well as allowing exemptions for Inward Investment Accounts (IIAs).
The session will commence with a keynote address by Dr. A. A. I. N Wickramasinghe, Director, Department of Foreign Exchange, Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL).
This will be followed by a panel discussion where Dr. Wickramasinghe will join a featuring panel that include, Ms. Manique Kiriella Bandara, Head of Compliance, National Development Bank PLC; W. S. Prasanna, Assistant Director, Department of Foreign Exchange, CBSL; and Ms. G. S. Kamileen, Senior Assistant Director, Department of Foreign Exchange, CBSL.
The session will be moderated by Ms. Rifka Ziyard, Director, Tax & Regulatory KPMG. The discussion will be followed by an interactive Question and Answer session.
