People above 70 years, who obtained their first dose of the Astrazeneca COVID-19 vaccine at a Colombo Municipal Council vaccination centre, would be able to get their second dose of the same vaccine within this week, Regional Epidemiologist of the CMC – Dr. Dinuka Guruge said.
She said those who obtained the first dose will get an SMS with date, time and venue to their mobile phone or call to their fixed line by the PHI.
She said entrance will be permitted only upon producing SMS, NIC and Vaccination Card.
Dr. Guruge requested eligible people to come to the allocated vaccination centre and urged them not to create unnecessary panic as everyone above 70 will be vaccinated within this week.
