The Foreign Minister, Dinesh Gunawardena has held discussions with the US Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Alaina B. Teplitz.
Foreign Minister Dinesh Gunawardena met with the US Ambassador, Alaina B. Teplitz on April 9, 2021 and reviewed bilateral engagements with a view to further broadening and deepening Sri Lanka – US relations in multiple areas of cooperation, the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
Foreign Minister Gunawardena briefed the U.S. Ambassador on the various positive developments taking place in the country. They also discussed ways to enhance bilateral co-operation including through development assistance.
The Foreign Ministry noted that climate change, green energy and information technology were identified as priority areas for US support.
