President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa intervened to resolve the issue of opinions expressed by Industries Minister Wimal Weerawansa, Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga said yesterday, February 15.
“There may be personal views within the members of the Government on various matters, but there is no internal clash in the Government,” he added.
Minister Ranatunga also said that the coalition partners of the Government cannot go on a mission on their own and they all have to work with the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) for the betterment of the people and the country.
He was speaking to reporters after opening the ‘Be Sri Lankan Buy Sri Lankan’ exhibition held at the BMICH last Friday.
“We do not have any personal grudges with Minister Wimal Weerawansa but we were against one of the statements he had made,” he also said.
