Chathura Madhumal, a student of Kantale Bandaranaike School, has been awarded a scholarship recently for his new product called ‘Walking Charger’.
Skills Development, Vocational Education, Research and Innovation State Minister, Dr. Seetha Arambepola awarded him the scholarship to pursue a programme at the Ceylon German Technical Training Institute (CGTTI) in electronics.
Born in Agbopura, Kantale, Chathura is the eldest in a family of four siblings. His father is a construction worker. He undergoes many hardships along with his mother to provide their children with a sound education.
