Sri Lanka Cricket in a media release said that the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Cricket Selection Committee Mr. Ashantha De Mel resigned from the Selection Committee with immediate effect, citing personal reasons.
‘We respect Ashantha’s decision and thank him for the services he rendered to Sri Lanka Cricket during his tenure as the Chairman of the Cricket Selection Committee’’ said Mr. Ashley De Silva, CEO of Sri Lanka Cricket.
