Leading Sri Lankan integrated financial services provider HNB FINANCE hosted their popular digital Avurudu platform for the second consecutive year in celebration of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year. With a revamped look and enhanced capabilities, the interactive digital platform was open till mid-May, following which a number of lucky winners were rewarded.

This year’s revamped online festivities enabled individuals to compete on an interface with traditional and exciting new games such as ‘the Avurudu Marathon’, ‘Kotta Pora’, ‘Kanamutti Bideema’, ‘Lissana Gasa Nagima’, ‘Aliyata Aha Thabeema’, as well as an Avurudu Rasa Pena Trivia and a downloadable list of significant dates and times marked for seasonal rituals this Avurudu. The platform also offered an opportunity for users to sign up for a raffle draw.

“We were delighted to host HNB FINANCE’s digital Avurudu games for the second year running, due to the massive success of its maiden run during the country’s first lockdown last year. The ‘Ape Gedara Avurudu’ digital platform was relaunched with the primary vision of lifting the spirits of all Sri Lankans during a time when strict social distancing has been called for to preserve health and wellbeing, and as such it is an honour to add colour to the lives of so many yet again in such a restrictive time in the world. This initiative is a small nod to our larger vision of migrating into a digital era,” stated HNB FINANCE Head of Marketing, Udara Gunasinghe.
