The National War Heroes Commemorative Month began with the pinning of ‘Ranaviru Flag’ on President Gotabaya Rajapaksa yesterday, May 4, at the Presidential Secretariat.
Ranaviru Seva Authority Acting Chairperson, Sonia Kottegoda pinned the Ranaviru Flag on the President.
Defence Ministry Secretary General (Retired) Kamal Gunaratne also participated.
The annual War Heroes Commemoration Month is observed to pay gratitude to the war heroes who sacrificed their lives and limbs during the humanitarian operation to end three decades long terrorism in the country.
