Following the preliminary launch of Napper, a specially designed baby crib mattress, Sri Lanka’s premier luxury bedding solutions provider Comfort World (Pvt) Ltd. launched a Napper experience centre yesterday, February 17.

A ceremony adhering to the guidelines issued by health authorities in line with preventing the spread of COVID-19 was hosted at the Comfort World flagship store on Ward Place, Colombo 7.

The event was graced by Mrs. Tatyana Rajapaksa, renowned pediatrician – Dr. Duminda Pathirana and Sri Lanka’s number one racer – Dilantha Malagamuwa while Comfort World was represented by Chairman – Naushad Mohideen, Group Head of Sales and Marketing – Ms. Fahmida Mohamed and other senior dignitaries of the organization.

The product, which has been manufactured reassuring parents of an optimum level of safety and comfort for their baby, includes two mattresses in its portfolio – The Comfort Cradle and the Napper Premium. The Comfort cradle, which provides the ultimate level of Comfort to a child, ensures safety through a wedge design which prevents the baby from rolling off the edge or getting caught in between the crib.

The Napper premium, which also provides an optimum level of comfort for a baby, has been manufactured with a dual side option for parents to choose from with varying comfort levels.

Both products have also been manufactured with memory foam padding technology which maintains the ideal posture of the child whilst asleep and also uses air flow technology for temperature control which would keep the baby warmer when it is cool and cooler when it is warm.

Speaking at the special ceremony, Dr. Duminda Pathirana noted the importance of sleep for a baby and stressed on the importance of uninterrupted sleep.

Dr. Pathirana went on to say, “During sleep is when a baby would grow and a child’s health largely depends on how much sleep the child gets and the posture that the child would maintain while asleep. Parents fail to understand the importance of a good mattress and the safety of a child whilst in the crib. I strongly believe that this introduction which has taken into consideration a child’s safety and comfort can only be described as a paradigm change within the crib mattress space”.

Addressing the gathering, Comfort World Chairman, Naushad Mohideen noted the importance of sleep from his years of research and experience in the field. He went on to note that a child exposed to the right amount of sleep and comfort bearing in mind the importance of ideal posture would prevent sleep disorders and cognitive issues that could arise as he or she grows.

“We have added yet another product to our portfolio and now are able to cater to all age groups. The Napper products are built with the highest quality material maintaining international standards similar to all our products we offer at Comfort World International,” he also said.
