The 2nd day of the ongoing test match saw only 18.2 overs of play, as the day’s proceedings had to be abandoned due to bad weather.
Resuming the day at 202 for the loss of 5 wickets, Dhananjaya De Silva and Niroshan Dickwella took Sri Lanka to 250 runs. Dickwella departed for 33 runs, when the score was at 256 runs, thus ending the 67 run partnership. Dhananjaya De Silva remained well settled at the crease at 72 ( not out) and Sri Lanka’s score read as 263 for the loss of 06 wickets, when the play for the day was called off due to bad light.
